We are a natural laboratory for the energy of the future. We are at the forefront of policies for the development of new technologies for sustainable energy, in a unique environment in the world.
By privileged environment. We have the best solar radiation in the world and 4,000 hours of sunshine in the year in the North. A large wind potential and parks in operation are deployed in the regions of Antofagasta, Coquimbo, Biobío and Los Lagos.
We also have a coastline of more than 4,000 km in continental Chile, forming a scenario of excellence for the development of sea energy.
The rivers in the center and south of the country grant a hydroelectric potential of 11 GW and the Andes mountain range provides an important geothermal and biomass capacity in the southern zone of Chile.
For Vanguard. The investment in the electricity sector is focused on diversifying the generation matrix.
Our goal is to reach 70% of sustainable matrix by 2050. Chile meets the conditions to be the great energy laboratory of the future.
In Chile, opportunities in the energy sector not only exist in renewable generation but also in electric transmission, because our country is promoting a more robust and secure transmission system. Therefore, periodically, international public tenders are called in which actors from different countries can participate

• 4th most attractive country for investment in NCRE.
• + 17% of installed capacity in ERNC 2017 (3,800 MW).
• Energy consumption has quadrupled in the last 25 years.
• Chile 2016 to 2020: US$15,000 mm in energy investment projects.
• Of a total of 58 countries, Chile is the 1st regional level in solar energy generation
