Lawyer of the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and Master of International Law and Professor at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile and the University of Chile. Expert in international negotiations and litigation, president of the Inter-American Juridical Committee of the Organization of American States (OAS). He was part of Chile’s defense team in the Matter of Maritime Delimitation between Peru and Chile at the International Court of Justice in The Hague, and today is part of Chile’s defense in Bolivia’s claim before the same Court.

Former Legal Director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Chile, who has also participated in legal teams in international litigation, within the framework of the ICSID, ALADI and Mercosur.
