Carey partner and one of the members in charge of the Energy Group. His practice focuses on regulatory issues and energy projects of all kinds, including electricity contracts, liquid fuels, natural gas, ERNC accreditations, electric transmission, gas transportation, engineering, construction and financing of infrastructure projects, among others.

Between 2000 and 2001, he worked as a foreign associate at Cleary, Gottlieb, Steen & Hamilton in New York City. He has also been professor of different chairs of Law in Chilean universities. Mr. Mackenna is currently director of the Association of Small and Medium Hydroelectric Power Plants (APEMEC), of which he was founder and vice president. In addition, he is a member of the Energy Technical Board formed by the Confederation of Production and Commerce (CPC), and was president of the Chilean-Australian Chamber of Commerce between 2010 and 2016.

Mr. Mackenna studied Law at Universidad Catolica de Chile and obtained a Master of Laws from Duke University, USA. in the year 2000.
